In June, 15 2007 the non-commercial partnership "Union of Industries of Railway Equipment" was founded by JSC "Russian Railways", JSC "Transmashholding", PLC "Corporate management company "Concern "Tractor plants" and JSC "Railcar-building company of Mordovia".
The most important purpose of the NP "UIRE" is the realization of the new approaches in the field of quality control that is possible only in case of integration of main producers of railway technique and its components. For today more then 100 companies have applied for membership in the "UIRE".
Companies-members of NP "UIRE" produce locomotives, freight and passenger railcars, track machines and devices as well as big range of spare parts for rolling stocks and infrastructure to satisfy the requirements of Russian railways. Plants of these companies are located in almost all big cities of RF.
Non-commercial partnership "Union of Industries of Railway Equipment" has 11 committees in its structure:

Staff for permanent coordination contains executive director, specialists in economic and organizational departments. All other activity is on voluntary basis.
The main purposes of the NP "UIRE" are integration of resources for satisfaction of requirements in the process of innovative development of railway transport as well as the consolidation of the efforts aimed at increase of competitiveness based on product quality improvement. One of the most effective tools in achieving such purposes is the implementation of IRIS standard in production process of railway engineering companies.
