László Horváth, the Chairman of the Board of CER Cargo Holding SE (Hungary), Clemens Först, the Chief Executive Officer of Rail Cargo Group (Austria), and Dmitry Murev, the CEO of RZD Logistics, a subsidiary of OJSC Russian Railways, have signed documents to establish a trilateral joint venture in the field of rail freight.
The signing event took place in the Hungarian capital Budapest on 14 December 2021 and was attended by the Deputy Minister of Transport of the Russian Federation Vladimir Tokarev, the First Deputy Managing Director of Russian Railways Sergey Pavlov, Hungary’s Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Finance Mihály Varga and Hungary’s Minister of Innovation and Technology László Palkovics.
Against the background of the steady growth in trade between China and Europe, this new joint venture will provide a competitive and reliable service for the organisation of transit rail freight for customers from China, the CIS countries and the European Union.
The company will offer the services of a freight forwarder and coordinator for logistics in organising cargo transportation from China’s provinces to the countries of Southern Europe, the Balkan countries and in the opposite direction via Russia and Hungary.
