Russian and Hungarian Railway Personnel Discussed Transit Transportation Issues

A Russian–Hungarian working group met to discuss the development of rail transit on July 6 in Shcherbinka (district of Moscow) under the leadership of State Secretary and Deputy Minister of Transport of the Russian Federation Dmitry Zverev and State Secretary for Transport Policy of the Ministry of Innovation and Technology of Hungary László Mosóczi.

The meeting was attended by representatives from JSC Russian Railways, JSC RZD Logistics, RZD International LLC, JSC NIIAS, JSC VNIIZhT, and CER Cargo Holding SE.

The effective use of the existing railway transit and logistics capacities of the two countries, including through joint ventures, were considered, and issues of scientific and technical cooperation were discussed.
In addition, the Hungarian delegation appreciated the advantages of the experimental ring railway in Shcherbinka (the JSC VNIIZhT test site), travelling on a Lastochka train, and got acquainted with the possibilities of using Russian experience in building such an experimental ring in Hungary.
